News & Notes – Injury Updates for Kyle Van Noy and Marlon Huffman

Harbaugh says Jaire Alexander could return’much sooner rather than later’

Jaire Alexander was inactive against the Browns on Sunday after playing in Week 1, and having practiced all week before Sunday’s match. Alexander was given more time to recover after missing the first month of training camp to manage his knee.

Harbaugh has said Alexander may return to play the Lions. However, the Ravens are waiting to see how this week goes.

Harbaugh stated, “I would like it to be black and white but I believe he will be there soon.” It could happen as soon as this week. It’s when you see that he is right and can play like a top-level Jaire.

Harbaugh is confident in the depth of the Ravens at cornerback, until Alexander is ready.

Harbaugh commented, “It’s almost an ideal problem to have. You don’t need to force players out on the field.” “That was a serious injury he suffered last year. He has been rehabbing it in the offseason. He rehabbed it for three to four weeks during training camp [without] any practice. This was the most difficult part.

It’s all good. Just watch the practice. We’ll sit down together and discuss it. Then we’ll try to get him on the field as soon as possible. But I believe it will be very soon, and much sooner than later. “Maybe this week.”
