Ravens Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers, sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the regular-season finale, appears to be making progress ahead of Baltimore’s Divisional Playoff matchup against the Buffalo Bills. While Flowers has not participated in full practices this week, he reportedly did a workout before Friday’s session, sparking cautious optimism about his availability.
Head Coach John Harbaugh remains hopeful Flowers could still suit up on Sunday, even without a full week of practice.
“Hopefully, Zay will be able to go, but if not, we have a lot of really good players,” Harbaugh said.
Flowers has been a key piece of Baltimore’s offense this season, leading the team in receiving yards and providing a dynamic threat in the passing game.
While Flowers’ status is uncertain, Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken expressed confidence in Baltimore’s offensive depth.
“We really do [have a lot of good players],” Monken said Thursday. “We’re fortunate, and we anticipate them playing well.”
In Flowers’ absence during the Wild Card win over the Steelers, the Ravens leaned heavily on their run game, amassing 299 rushing yards, and saw contributions from tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, as well as wide receiver Rashod Bateman.
Wide receiver and return specialist Deonte Harty, who has been practicing this week, would need to be elevated to the 53-man roster to play on Sunday. Harty’s return would provide a boost to both the passing game and special teams.
Whether Flowers plays or not, the Ravens have shown they can adapt and thrive offensively. Still, having their Pro Bowl receiver available would add another layer of explosiveness to the passing game, which could be crucial in a high-stakes matchup against Buffalo.
