Brown A reshuffle of the offensive line in Week 6 is not surprising if you listen to what Harbaugh stated on Monday.
Harbaugh stated that “everything is on the table.” “If you were expecting to progress more as a player and it isn’t happening, at some point, someone else will get a shot.”
Corey Bullock could be called up to replace Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele at the guard position, as they have both started the season. Cleveland, who has started seven games in his career, or Jones are other options that the Ravens may consider.
I don’t believe the coaching staff is afraid of change. Four out of five offensive lines starters were back from last year. This continuity was seen as a positive. The unit, however, has not been as successful in pass blocking or run blocking this season.
The Ravens’ coaches are under fire because they have a record of 1-4. Zach Orr, the defensive coordinator, has taken the brunt of the criticism, but has also been backed by the players, Harbaugh and the whole staff. Orr earned this respect because he consistently overcame adversity, both as a coach and a player. Baltimore’s defense turned around when Orr became a rookie defensive coordinator last year, and both the coaches and players are confident that it will again.
I believe that Harbaugh will keep his defensive staff on a collaborative path, instead of shaking things up. Harbaugh said Monday that he spoke with former defensive coordinator Dean Pees and that Senior Secondary coach Chuck Pagano was already heavily involved in defense.
Fub (Aeneas peebles) has played 18.2% defensive snaps. I wouldn’t surprise if he increases his role as the season progresses. The Ravens have already given many rookies heavier roles than expected.
