John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, said that Lamar Jackson will be day-today due to a “significant contusion” on his back.
Jackson left the Ravens 28-24 loss against the New England Patriots before halftime after taking a backwards knee from a Patriots defensive player while on the ground. He did not return. Tyler Huntley finished the game.
Harbaugh confirmed that Jackson’s MRI on Monday did not reveal any additional damage. Harbaugh told reporters that he had seen Jackson receiving treatment at the Under Armour Performance Center early on Monday.
Harbaugh stated that the pain and severity of the injury was real.
Harbaugh claimed that he did not believe the Patriots safety Craig Woodson’s hit on Jackson was malicious.
