John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, said that Lamar Jackson’s participation in Sunday’s AFC North winner take all game is still “undetermined”.
“He is coming off of a very severe injury, and he works at it.” Harbaugh stated, “I saw him here today working on it.” I think we’ll find out a lot on Wednesday.
Jackson’s progress has given him reason to be optimistic that his back injury will heal enough for him to play in the Steelers game.
Harbaugh stated that “there was improvement all week.” “It wasn’t good early on in the week, but it improved as the weeks went by.” This was a cause for optimism.
Harbaugh said that the doctors and training staff of the team will decide with Jackson if he is physically able to participate.
Although Tyler Huntley played superbly in Green Bay, and led the Ravens in two games to 30+ points and two victories in his two starts in this season. The decision about whether Jackson will play in Pittsburgh was already made by the coaching staff.
“My confidence is real positive, a plus. Harbaugh stated that it does not affect whether Lamar will play. “If Lamar’s ready to go, then he will play – there’s no doubt about it.”
