Lamar Jackson praises Ravens’ mentality after early struggles

Lamar Jackson returned from the sidelines and gave one of his best performances of the year in the Baltimore Ravens 28-6 win over the Miami Dolphins.

The MVP, a two-time winner, threw 4 touchdown passes and the defense forced 3 turnovers.

Jackson showed no sign of the hamstring injuries that had kept him out, eliminating any concerns regarding his effectiveness or readiness.

Jackson, after the win, spoke to ESPN’s SportsCenter regarding the mentality that has characterized Baltimore’s recent streak.

“Do or die. Guys just didn’t get complacent. Everyone is locked in. You’re locked in, go to the field of practice. Jackson explained that they treat everything as if it were a game so they can perform whether it’s Thursday, Sunday, or Monday.

On offense, the Ravens were able to get contributions from all over their roster.

Mark Andrews scored two touchdowns after Miami’s fumble deep in their own territory. This included a crucial fourth-down conversion.

Rashod Bateman and Charlie Kolar also scored. Bateman’s touchdown of 9 yards late in the third-quarter sealed the victory.

Baltimore’s running back Derrick Henry ran for 119 yard on 19 carries. He gave Baltimore balance, and wore down Miami’s front seven.

Jackson ran for 14 yards in five attempts, while maintaining his hamstring throughout the game.

He was able to make a strong connection with his receivers, especially during a period in the second-half when he made nine consecutive passes.

He only missed once in the last minute of the third-quarter.

Baltimore is now 3-5 after the win and will be traveling to Minnesota in Week 10 to try to gain momentum.
