Lamar Jackson is out for the Ravens-Texans game.

The Baltimore Ravens’ star quarterback Lamar Jackson has been ruled out of their Week 5 game against the Houston Texans.

Jackson wasn’t expected to play again after he left his last match with a hamstring problem. Cooper Rush will replace him as he did not practice during the week. Tyler Huntley, who was on the practice squad, will serve as QB2 for the game.

Other confirmed Ravens absences were expected. Chidobe, Marlon, and Roquan missed all of this week’s practice, while Ricard was sidelined from the start of the season. Baltimore did not want to rush Jones back onto the field following his shoulder surgery.

The Ravens will have a number of questionable players in Sunday’s game. Hamilton’s loss could tip an already fragile defense into a downward spiral, while Stanley’s absence will make Rush’s life more difficult.

Baltimore removed several players from the injury list on Friday, including Travis Jones, Tyler Linderbaum Brent Urban, Kyle Van Noy and Nate Wiggins. Jones and Van Noy’s return will help a Ravens defense that has been overmatched for the last two games. Linderbaum may not have played at his best to begin the season, but he’ll be an important factor in Rush’s success on Sunday. Wiggins’ injury was much more serious when he left Kansas City but he has recovered quickly and is ready to play against Houston.

Both sides of the football are healthier for the Texans than they are for the Ravens. Here’s their final injury list and game designations.
