Jackson was initially cleared to return from his Week 7 bye in order to play Chicago. However, despite returning for practice, he still wasn’t medically clear.
Huntley helped to deliver a convincing win that ended a four-game losing streak.
Huntley was making his 10th start in the Ravens’ career. His recent success brought temporary relief to Baltimore, but its long-term hopes are on Jackson’s shoulders.
Baltimore’s struggles do not mean that the AFC North title is out of reach.
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ consecutive losses have tightened division standings and given the Ravens an opportunity to get back in contention.
Jackson must recapture his MVP-like form to lead a team who cannot afford any more setbacks.
