Lamar Jackson has been unable to practice for the third week in a row. He now has a new designation of injury.
Jackson missed Monday’s walkthrough practice, as the Ravens prepare to face the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium on Thanksgiving Night.
Jackson suffered from knee pain after Week 10’s win in Minnesota, and he also sustained an ankle injury as he prepared for the New York Jets last week. He’s listed as having a toe problem this week.
Harbaugh responded that Jackson was “good” and did what was necessary to win football matches.
Jackson has refused to blame the Ravens offensive sluggishness in the last couple of weeks on his injury. Wide receiver Zay Flower said that he is “unable to tell” whether Jackson’s ailments are affecting his performance.
Flowers stated, “I don’t think he would put himself in an unsafe position if he was not healthy.” “I don’t think he’d jeopardize that.”
The Monday injury report is based on a walk-through. However, safety Kyle Hamilton (ankle), defensive tackle Taven Brenden (knee), and nose tackle Travis Jones were all non-participants.
Hamilton, who was forced to leave the game in the late fourth quarter by Harbaugh, “will have a chance” Thursday night. Bryan may be placed on short-term injury reserve.
Good news: Wide receiver Rashod Bates (ankle) as well as cornerback Keyon Mártin (rib) have returned to limited practice. Martin missed one game and Bateman two.
Bateman’s return to the field may help the Ravens offense. They will be facing a Bengals team that is ranked at the bottom of the league in terms of points allowed, with an average of 32.7 per game.
Flowers said, “Hopefully we will have the game we want in offense to get us moving in the direction we want.”
