Lamar Jackson injury status: Ravens quarterback is currently ‘day to day’

John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, announced that quarterback Lamar Jackson was “day-today” due to a “significant injury in his back”.

Jackson was kneed behind just before halftime in Sunday’s loss by the Ravens to the New England Patriots. He ran to the locker rooms and never returned. Tyler Huntley, the backup quarterback, finished the game. He led two touchdown drives during the second half to give Baltimore an 11 point lead in the final quarter.

Jackson’s pain was evident as he spoke to the locker room staff after the game.

Jackson: “I was just kneed in my back in the red area.” I just couldn’t complete the game. “I was trying.” After getting Toradol, he tried throwing with a trainer but could not take the field back.

Jackson said he did not aggravate his other injuries, and hoped to play Saturday against the Packers.
