As the Baltimore Ravens prepare for their high-stakes Divisional Round game against the Buffalo Bills, concerns are growing over the status of Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers. Flowers, who has been sidelined with a knee injury since the regular-season finale, missed practice again on Thursday, casting doubt on his availability for Sunday.
Flowers has been a game-changer for Baltimore this season, becoming the first wide receiver in franchise history to make the Pro Bowl. With 74 receptions for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns, Flowers has been a vital weapon for MVP contender Lamar Jackson.
His ability to stretch the field and create mismatches has added a new dimension to the Ravens’ offense, complementing their dominant ground game led by Derrick Henry. Losing Flowers would undoubtedly limit Baltimore’s passing attack against a tough Buffalo defense.
According to Ravens insider Jamison Hensley:
“Pro Bowl WR Zay Flowers is the only Ravens player not practicing Thursday. Flowers hasn’t practiced since injuring his knee in the regular season finale 12 days ago.”
If Flowers is unable to play, the Ravens will need other playmakers to step up:
Flowers’ absence would simplify the Bills’ defensive game plan, allowing them to focus more on containing the Ravens’ rushing attack and limiting Jackson’s opportunities to make big plays through the air.
While Flowers’ status remains uncertain, his absence would be a significant blow to the Ravens’ offense. All eyes will be on Friday’s practice to see if he can make a late push to play on Sunday night.
What do you think, Ravens fans? Can the offense succeed without Flowers, or will his absence be too much to overcome? Share your thoughts in the comments!
