John Harbaugh and the Ravens: A Pundit’s View on Why they can turn their season around

Pundit: Ravens can turn their season around under John Harbaugh – ‘one of the best coaches in football’

There will be plenty of frustration and disappointment when a Super Bowl favorite gets off to such a poor start.

All the players, coaches and staff feel it. The passionate fan base also feels it.

John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is well aware and understands this.

Harbaugh stated on Monday that he appreciated the fan base because he knew how much it cared and wanted us to succeed. “Even when they are frustrated and say hurtful things, that’s okay, that’s what we do,” explains Harbaugh. “That’s what we do.” It will be fantastic when everything is rolling again and people can enjoy the game as they should. That’s why we are working so hard to make it happen.

ESPN Bill Barnwell thinks the Ravens will have a better season this year as they become healthier and their schedule becomes easier. Bill Barnwell also stated that Harbaugh has a winning percentage of.613 in 18 years in Baltimore and has earned the benefit-of-the doubt as he is one of the “best coaches in football”.

Barnwell wrote: “I think Harbaugh is an excellent coach.” The Ravens’ 1-5 record is a result of a combination of bad luck in close games against good competition, and harrowing injuries. Harbaugh is a better coach if a pass does not deflect into Keon’s hands in Week 1 or Derrick Henry does not fumble on the final play? Baltimore’s rookies aren’t having a good start but Harbaugh has had great success in bringing up young talent over the years. “That has to mean something.”

Barnwell pointed out that future Hall of Fame coaches like Andy Reid and Bill Belichick have also been subjected to scrutiny. He compared Harbaugh’s current situation with Reid’s tenure as the Philadelphia Eagles’ coach.

Lamar Jackson’s Ravens were perennial contenders, but they have yet to win the Super Bowl. Reid’s Eagles made the playoffs in Philadelphia nine times during his 14 years there, but only one Super Bowl.

“Is it something that Harbaugh lacks inherently that prevents him from leading the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory?” Barnwell wrote. Barnwell wrote: “I don’t know if I agree with Reid or any other coach who has consistently made the playoffs and missed out on the Super Bowl even without Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes as quarterback.

“Regardless, this certainly shouldn’t be applied to Harbaugh who won a Super Bowl. Harbaugh, unlike Reid who won them only after signing a future Hall of Fame quarterback, has achieved his title even with a Ravens team that was not the best. “His 10-6 team won road games against Denver and New England while running through the AFC, as the fourth seed.”
