Joe Flacco’s first return to Baltimore did not go as well as expected, as the Browns lost 41-17. He made two costly mistakes. Nate Wiggins nearly scored a touchdown with his interception, and Roquan Smits took advantage of the Browns’ 41-17 loss by grabbing their fumble in the fourth quarter.
Dillon Gabriel, a rookie third-round draft pick who took over in the fourth-quarter and led the Browns to a seven play, 65-yard touchdown run. Gabriel completed 3-of-3 passes, including an 8-yard touchdown to Dylan Sampson.
Kevin Stefanski, the Browns’ head coach, did not entertain a question about a possible quarterback switch after the game.
He replied, “No.” I don’t believe we did well enough. I don’t think we did a good job as a collective team, as an offensive, as a coaching crew.
