Myles Garrett, a defensive end with 21.5 sacks in three games remaining, is only one sack short of tying the single-season all-time record.
Michael Strahan, along with Watt, share the record for sacks in a single season. Garrett suffered a hip fracture while recording 1.5 sacks against the Chicago Bears. Garrett played the entire game, and said afterwards that he would not miss any time.
Garrett told Mary Kay Cabot, of Cleveland.com that he would play through anything. “I tweaked my hip or felt something in that region for the remainder of the game. We’ll keep pushing forward because there’s still something to play for. “As long as there are games on the calendar, I will go out and win.”
Garrett believes that even though the Browns (3-11), are no longer in playoff contention, they should still compete for pride.
Look at the person next to you. Garrett said, “It could be his final game.” It could be your last match. Do not go out on a low note. “You keep fighting, and you want your last game to be remembered.”
