Jay Higgins IV, a rookie linebacker for the Ravens, is back in practice.
Higgins was given a 21-day return window by the Ravens after missing the last five games due to a knee injury.
Higgins was injured against the Vikings during Week 10. He was placed on the injured reserve. Higgins is one of three rookies who were not drafted to make the Ravens initial 53-man squad. He has made six tackles on special teams and forced a fumble.
Higgins’s return is timely for the Ravens, after Teddye Buchanan, the starting linebacker who started Sunday’s win over the Bengals in a shutout victory, suffered an ACL tear. Higgins, along with his special team contributions, can provide depth behind Roquan Simpson, Jake Hummel, and Trenton Simpson.
