Isaiah Likely to Play in Season Debut vs. Chiefs

In Sunday’s match against the Kansas City Chiefs, another piece of Ravens’ explosive offense will be back in action.

After suffering a foot fracture early in the training camp, tight end Isaiah Likely will be active and make his debut during the season. For the second week in a row, he practiced every day.

The Ravens are shorthanded on the defensive line. Travis Jones is out due to a knee injury. Baltimore’s two other starting defensive linemen Nnamdi madubuike (neck), and Broderick Washingon Jr. (ankle) were placed on injured reserve.

Likely had his best year in 2024 (42 receptions, 477 yard, 6 touchdowns). He also had a great Week 1 game last season in Kansas City, where he caught nine passes for 112 yards and a score. He was a foot away from scoring a touchdown at the end regulation that would have tied the game.

Stanley, who has started 26 consecutive games since 2023, went through a workout with the Ravens medical staff before the game. Jackson’s blindside must be protected against the Chiefs who are armed with two excellent pass rushers, Chris Jones and George Karlaftis. Jackson was sacked 7 times during the 38-30 loss against the Detroit Lions on Monday night.

C.J. On Saturday, the Chiefs will face Josh Tupou and Okoye from the practice squad. Baltimore could see John Jenkins, rookie Aeneas pebbles and sixth-round defensive tackle John Jenkins play more in the defensive line rotation.

Kyle Van Noy, a veteran outside linebacker (groin), is inactive for the second consecutive game. Baltimore’s top pass rusher last season will not be available to pressure Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes after the Ravens failed to record a sack in their game against the Lions.

After a pregame workout, veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander is inactive for a third consecutive game. Alexander is in top physical condition after recovering from an injury that caused him to miss a significant amount of time during training camp.

Patrick Ricard, a fullback in the Pro Bowl who has been ruled out of action due to calf injury, was not able to play on Friday. Running back Keaton Mitchel, defensive back Reuben Lowery III and offensive lineman Carson Vinson are also inactive.

Xavier Worthy, the Chiefs’ second-year wideout, is active and ready to return to the lineup. He missed the majority of the Chiefs’ first three games because of a shoulder injury.

The Chiefs have a much better health record than the Ravens. Kansas City has cornerback Kristian fulton, tight-end Jada Wiley, running-back Elijah Mitchell and offensive lineman Hunter Nourzad as inactives.
