In 50 Words Or Less, The Ravens Defense is aiming for a ferocious finish

I have a question. I have a question.

I believe so. This means that the Ravens can’t be discounted as AFC contenders heading into the home game Sunday night against the New England Patriots.

The Seattle Seahawks’ offensive shootout win over Los Angeles Rams was thrilling. They won 38-37. With one score after another, no lead was safe.

This season, the Ravens are not playing in that style. They are leaning heavily on their defense. Baltimore has allowed nine touchdowns the least in the NFL over the last eight weeks. The Ravens are ranked No. The Ravens have ranked No.

Baltimore’s defense has been consistent for two months – this is not a fiction.

The Ravens have only allowed 30 points once since Week 5. It was on Thanksgiving when they lost 32-14 to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens did have five turnovers, however, and that didn’t allow the defense to play fairly.

Baltimore’s defense dominated Cincinnati in their rematch last weekend. Baltimore’s 24-0 win was their first shutout in 2018 and the first time Joe Burrow has been blanked in his NFL career. Baltimore’s defense is better than Burrow, who is a bad person.

This brings us to the Ravens defense’s matchup with Drake Maye on Sunday night. The second-year quarterback has been leading the Patriots to prominence (11-3). Baltimore may miss out on the postseason if they lose to Maye.

A Baltimore win that included another outstanding defensive performance would give more reasons to believe the Ravens are peaking just at the right moment.
