Kingsbury’s extensive experience with athletic quarterbacks doesn’t stop at Daniels and Murray.

Kingsbury worked with Mahomes during his three-year tenure at Texas Tech. Mahomes, now a three-time Super Bowl winner, improved every year under Kingsbury’s “Air Raid”, offense.

Mahomes has thrown for 11,252 yard, 93 touchdowns and 29 interceptions over three seasons. He also rushed for 845 yards and scored 22 times.

Mahomes credited Kingsbury with his development as a dual threat quarterback. He said that his former coach, “taught [him] a lot.”

Mahomes stated, “I believe he was very early on in the game when he said, ‘Hey let’s maximize our strengths’.” Mahomes said, “He taught me how to be more technical and get into the pocket as well as the fundamentals of football. But he never limited who I am.”
