Early SB Nation mock draft: Ravens select Clemson DT Peter Woods

Many fans are looking forward to next year’s NFL draft after the Ravens’ Sunday night loss to Patriots.

Baltimore needs to fill a number of positions on both sides, but none are more important than offensive guards and defensive tackles. According to an early look at 2026, there are no guards that would be worth the Ravens’ current 14th pick in the draft.

Mark Schofield of SB Nation selected Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods as the Ravens’ early mock pick. Schofield’s early mock draft was completed before Week 16 when the Ravens projected to be the 16th pick. Woods is still their pick, however, because they have moved up two positions and no other team has moved ahead of them.

Woods (20) was considered the top defensive prospect in the 2026 draft going into the college football season of 2025, but after a disappointing year, his stock fell. Woods is still considered to be the best defensive lineman in his class. However, he might not have the pedigree necessary to make the top 10, like Jalen Graham and Mason Graham.

It is therefore possible that, for the moment, he will fall into Eric DeCosta’s lap at the middle of the 1st round. Woods’ profile ticks multiple boxes for Ravens. Woods is a young defender who declared early from a Power 5 school. He fills both a short and long term need for Baltimore. The Ravens are also attracted to his physical profile, and he has the type of versatility they have always sought in the past.

Woods could also rise in the spring if he impresses at the Combine with his athleticism and strength. If the Ravens are unable to win, they will only be able to move up as far as the 10th pick. The Ravens could still be ranked No. 1 if the teams in front of them lose their final two games. 14.

Woods’ availability is still uncertain. Further evaluation of his tapes and measurements may alter his opinion. At first glance, Woods looks like a solid defender that could work with Travis Jones to give the Ravens an interior pass rush.
