Joe Burrow’s four touchdowns passes helped Cincinnati to a 45-21 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The Bengals (5-10), however, face a number of decisions following their third consecutive season without making the playoffs.
Pelissero reported the Bengals will retain Zac Taylor as head coach next season. He is currently under contract until 2027.
Pelissero, on “The Insiders”, said that there are no signs to suggest the Bengals will make any major changes. All indications point to Taylor’s return. Burrow’s injury has been the main reason for recent struggles. This season, they were 1-8 with him out. Mike Brown, the Bengals’ owner, is a big fan of Taylor. He believes that Taylor has led them to Super Bowl. Brown’s history has been that he doesn’t like to pay coaches to not coach.
Burrow seemed to be in a much better mental place after Sunday’s victory.
Burrow via Ben Baby stated, “I am having fun playing soccer.” “Not playing football, is not enjoyable. You don’t do it to sit in the locker rooms all day and rehab. “This is why you do this right here.”
In Week 17, the Bengals will be hosting the Arizona Cardinals.
