Derrick Henry’s dominant night in Green Bay was based on the analytics behind his performance.

Derrick Henry, who had a career high 36 carries Saturday for a season’s highest 216 yards, and four touchdowns in Green Bay said that he was feeling good. He might have been a bit sore, but it wasn’t too bad.

He said, “I am built for it.” “This is why I train.”

Henry is said to get stronger with each passing season. The ageless Henry continues to pound away as his opponents get more achy.

Stats support it. Henry’s Pro Football Focus (PFF), 90.0 grade against the Packers, was his highest score of the season. His highest grade last year was 90.4 in Houston, Week 17, when he scored against the Packers.

Next Gen Stats (NGS) shows that Henry’s top speed has increased each quarter. His 25-yard touchdown, which sealed the game, reached a maximum of 20.72 mph. This was Henry’s fourth fastest top speed this season. In the first half, his average speed was 6.7 mph. In the second, it was 8.

NGS reports that Henry had a season-high nine missed tackles and +97 rushing yard over expectation (RYOE). In the first half he pounded the Packers with inside carries, totaling 73 yard, two touchdowns and +30 RYOE. He was more successful on outside runs in the second half. He gained 75 yards, and had a +49 RYOE.

After Henry’s snap-share was questioned a week ago, he now has 48 snaps compared to Keaton Mitchel’s 14 and Rasheen Ali’s 15.
