Huntley was outstanding in an important spot. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown. His quarterback rating was 116.9, with no turnovers.
Huntley’s confidence and freedom to play are contagious among his teammates, no matter what the situation. Since Jackson became the Ravens’ starting quarterback in 2019 it has been hard for them to win without him, but when Huntley is playing this well they can win.
Huntley is to be commended for his ability to rise above the challenge. The Ravens are hoping Jackson will return for the game on Thursday against the Miami Dolphins. He was cooking in practice all week, and that carried over to the game. He threw short, long and clutch throws, which led the Ravens in victory.
Huntley was not fazed when he learned he’d be starting on Saturday.
Huntley stated, “I prepare myself every day as if I am the starter.” It wasn’t a big surprise. I’m like, ‘Shoot, let’s do it.'”
