Chidobe awuzie, the Ravens’ cornerback, returned to practice on Friday. This gives hope that he will be able to play in the crucial Week 16 match against New England Patriots.
Awuzie has been a Ravens defensive player of great effectiveness this season, despite his injury in Cincinnati.
Pro Football Focus has given him the fifth highest grade of all NFL cornerbacks that have played at least half of their defensive snaps. In five games and 12 games, he has made 35 tackles and broken up seven balls.
The Ravens will be in good shape for the game. Only two players did not practice Friday: defensive lineman John Jenkins who was unable to play due to illness and rookie linebacker Teddye Buchanan who sustained a season-ending injury in Cincinnati.
Trenton Simpson will replace Buchanan as the starter, and is confident in his coaches and Roquan Smith.
The practice of left tackle Ronnie Stanley, center Tyler Linderbaum and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy was limited Thursday. They will be back in action on Friday.
