The Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin believes that winning the AFC North is just the beginning for them.
Since 2016, the franchise hasn’t won a postseason game. Tomlin hopes to change this when Pittsburgh plays the Houston Texans next weekend in the final Wild Card Weekend matchup.
Tomlin told Brooke Pryor, of ESPN.com : “We are AFC North champions.” “And it sounds good and feels good. We didn’t come to this for that. “We came here to see what lies ahead. We are so excited.”
Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers’ quarterback, will be playing in the playoffs again for the first since 2021. The 42-year old quarterback played his best in the fourth quarter against the Ravens, going 11 for 14 and gaining 133 yards. He was 31 for 47 with 294 yards.
Tomlin is impressed by Rodgers’ calmness under pressure. Tomlin believes Rodgers’ experience will be a huge asset to the Steelers in the playoffs.
Tomlin stated, “This was our vision when we pursued this man in the spring.” “That’s the reason you do business with someone like him, a 42-year old guy who has been there and done that.” He is not only competent, but he thrives.
