Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Jets Predictions

Baltimore Ravens are looking to win their fifth consecutive game this Sunday when they face the New York Jets. Baltimore Beatdown staff makes bold predictions about the AFC clash.

Lamar Jackson returns home and the Ravens finally score 40 points. Jackson’s form is back against a man blitzing defense. The Ravens run game struggles to keep up with an above average run defense. Jackson rips through the Jets defense for over 300 yards. Nine different players caught the ball in this game. Isaiah Likely is a big player in this game, as Baltimore focuses their attention on him in order to improve the efficiency of their red zone, catching 3 touchdowns.

The Ravens’ defense has been so solid that it takes a backseat this week. Tyrod Taylor and Adonai Mitchel combine to produce magical performances. Baltimore won’t follow this trend, but the spark that comes from the change of quarterback fuels New York into a 30-point victory. It’s a win for the Ravens, but the buzz is generated by Joe Burrow’s possible return on Thursday Night Football. Baltimore wins 42-31. – Zach Canter

The Ravens continued their winning streak against the Jets flailing on Sunday. Lamar Jackson’s efficiency through the air is impressive after a two-interception performance that was uncharacteristic against the Cleveland Browns. However, it is the Jets’ ground game which dominates over four quarters. Derrick Henry’s best performance since Week 1 is his rushing for more than 150 yards with two touchdowns. Zay Flowers also has a great day, surpassing 100 receiving yards for the first since Week 1, with Sauce Gardner out of the picture.

Baltimore’s defensive unit continues to be a completely different one from when they started the season. They force two more mistakes and blitz Tyrod Taylor throughout the entire game. Kyle Hamilton makes his first interception this season, while dominating near the line-of-scrimmage. The Ravens improved to 6-5 after a 28-13 win over the Jets. – Dustin Cox

This week, Ravens fans will finally be able to see their team thrash an inferior opponent. Todd Monken returns to the quick passing that helped the offense move against Minnesota. Lamar Jackson, however, takes some more deep shots. DeAndre Walker and Devontez Hopkins will each get a shot at the endzone, but neither one will make it. The Ravens will have to work hard to reach the endzone. Monken does not pull out any rabbits this week but he spreads the offense and finds ways to score through the air.

The Ravens’ defense allows Breece Taylor and Mason Hall to run some big plays, but Kyle Hamilton makes a turnover near the line-of-scrimmage, and another DB secures a pick down the field. This is just one example of how Baltimore will dominate the field position battle and set them up for an efficient, 34-13 victory. – Nikhil Mehta
