Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals: Week 13 Thanksgiving Game Thread

Flock Nation, Happy Thanksgiving! It’s now time to focus on other birds, and more important ones: the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens enter Week 13 as the AFC North leaders, but that’s only because of their tiebreakers with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens must keep up with the Bengals by beating them on Thursday night.

Joe Burrow will return to the Bengals’ starting lineup, hoping to stop the Ravens five-game winning streak. This would keep the Bengals’ playoff hopes alive. Ja’Marr chase is also back on the field following a one game suspension. Tee Higgins, Tre Hendrickson and others were ruled out earlier in the week.

It seems like a simple matchup on paper, especially since it’s at home and primetime. However, neither offense is predictable. Burrow has a carbon fibre turf toeplate in his foot. If anyone knows what this means, please explain in the comments. He may also be lacking the mobility he used to have to avoid sacks. Lamar Jackson is dealing with an injury list and the offensive line’s performance has not been good enough to allow them to settle into a rhythm.

The Bengals historically bad defense, which is ranked at the bottom of the list, may be a saving grace for Ravens. The Ravens should be able move the ball well enough to score points and hope that the revamped Bengals defense can keep up with Burrow, Chase and Co.
