Baltimore Ravens snap count analysis, week 14: no offensive line changes and minimal wideout reps

Emery Jones Jr., who played 16 snaps as a left guard against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week did not play this time. Andrew Vorhees, the all-down starter at left guard, returned to his position along with four other offensive linemen that also played 100% snaps. The Ravens offense played 80 snaps, their highest total in a long time.

Rashod Bateman and Zay Flowers dominated the Ravens’ wide receiver play time. The Ravens favored a two-wideout formation. Flowers led the team with eight receptions and 124 yards. Deandre Hopkins only played 13 snaps, and saw a single target. LaJohntay Wallace (five snaps), and Tylan Wallis (three snaps), were not part of the plan.

Mark Andrews (68%) and Isaiah Likely (60%), both tight ends, took up the majority of reps. Andrews played 54 snaps, while Likely only played 48. Likely finished the season with four receptions, and his six targets were second in both categories. In the fourth quarter he nearly scored a go-ahead touchdown and caught a touchdown, but it was overturned as a questionable decision.

Rasheen Ali played an important role in the backfield as the main third-down runningback. Derrick Henry led the way with 43 snaps and 25 carries. Henry received a good amount of rushing attempts during the second half. Keaton Mitchell was injured in the knee and left the game after 12 snaps. Mitchell ran six times for 75 yards, with a long run of 55 yard.

Kyle Hamilton, the only defensive player to play all 52 snaps in this game. Alohi Gillman (98%), Marlon Hushprey (98%), Nate Wiggins (94%) and Nate Wiggins (94%) were all close behind him. Malaki Starks’ playing time dropped, even though he was a regular at the top of snap counts every week. Starks played in 37 defensive plays (71%). The Ravens allowed multiple 30-yard receptions as well as 284 total passing yards.

Roquan played 100% snaps and had a team high 10 tackles. Teddye Buchanan played 41 snaps and nearly forced a crucial turnover in the second-half. However, it was overturned after further review due to another questionable call by officials. Both linebackers made one tackle for loss.

Mike Green (77%) is just one snap behind Dre’Mont on the edge. Kyle Van Noy played only 22 snaps last week, almost half his time. David Ojabo played eight defensive snaps. The Ravens didn’t record a single Aaron Rodgers sack and had only one quarterback hit.

Travis Jones (40 snaps), and John Jenkins (30 snappes) have played the most defensive tackle reps. Brent Urban and C.J. Okoye played 30 snaps together, while Josh Tupou was given 14 reps. Tupou had been elevated from the practice team ahead of this match. Baltimore’s defense held the Steelers to only 34 rushing yard on 17 carries.
