Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti and John Haraugh Issue Statements

STATEMENT OF BALTIMORE RAVELS OWNER STEVE BISCIOTTI

After a thorough evaluation of the current season and our overall organization’s direction, I made the decision to change the head coach. John was informed today that he is no longer in his position.

It was a difficult decision to make, considering the 18 years of friendship we’ve shared and my deep respect for John as both a coach and a man of great integrity.

John, who I believe has a Hall of Fame career as a coach, brought a Super Bowl title to Baltimore. He also served as an unwavering pillar of leadership and humility. His family has been deeply rooted in the community. We should be eternally grateful for his profound contributions on and off the playing field.

We have always and will continue to strive for winning Championships. We aim to perform consistently at the highest level and be an organization and team that our fans are proud of.

John and his team have worked tirelessly and with dedication for many years. I am grateful. I wish him, Ingrid and Alison the very best for the future.

Now we begin the difficult, but exciting process of selecting the next football team leader.

We understand what our fans, and all of the Ravens’ organization, expect. It is essential to find a strong leader or partner who can reflect these high standards.

We are grateful to our fans, and we will work tirelessly to ensure that they, our city, and the wider community enjoy the success they deserve.

A STATEMENT BY JOHN HARBAUGH

It’s true that I had hoped for a more positive message to be sent on my final day, but today is the day. This comes with disappointment, yes, but also with GRATITUDE and APPRECIATION.

Thank you to the owner of the organization for bringing in a coach who has been successful with Special Teams. It was a difficult task… but I appreciate all of the memories that were made over these years.

I want to leave a legacy based on Faith, Always Fighting, Always Believing.

The values that an organization, or team, has built in are those that are Good, Worthwhile and Lasting, and are respected by both fans and opponents.

The relationships I have had with players over the years are ones that I will always cherish. I am grateful for their strength and courage.

Through the daily toil and turmoil of work, we formed strong bonds with our partners in this beautiful building.

My dearest family, Ingrid and Alison who are the loves of my life and beyond comparison, as well as my close-knit friends and family who will always be there for you.

Final words of gratitude to the author of our faith and the finisher – I am grateful for a journey beyond what I could ever have imagined on my own. All is well in my soul thanks to the Good God, who guides and sustains.
