Baltimore could pursue two former Ravens who are late for work before the trade deadline

Two former Ravens Baltimore could pursue before the trade deadline

The trade deadline is just a week away. The Athletic has looked at the players who could be on Ravens radar.

Calais Campbell, a former Ravens defensive lineman, is now with the Arizona Cardinals. Kevin Zeitler, a Tennessee Titans guard, would also be a good fit for the Ravens “right player at the right price” motto – provided they were available.

Zrebiec said that the Ravens almost acquired Campbell before the Dolphins’ trade deadline last year and were also interested in signing Campbell this offseason.

Zrebiec wrote, “With nine quarterback hits and three sacks the 39-year old is having a solid season.” He’d be a great asset to the Ravens. Campbell is not sure if he wants to play anywhere else during what could be the last NFL season.

Zrebiec wrote about Zeitler: “Even struggling football teams do not trade offensive linemen of quality because they want to protect the quarterback and maintain a functional offense. It’s not guaranteed that Zeitler, 35, will be available. It would be cool for the Ravens if they brought back a popular player and productive from their past. Zeitler would be a significant upgrade.
