Aaron Rodgers Struggles and Steelers’ Division lead Shrinks

Dillon Gabriel to start for the Cleveland Browns against the Ravens

Cleveland’s head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel would be the starter for Week 11 when they face the Ravens.

Stefanski told reporters via the Browns website that “we’re going to stick with Dillon” after Cleveland’s loss of 27-20 to the New York Jets. “Obviously, this is a very young player. You’re always looking to improve and do these types of things. We need to improve our offense, and we also have to improve the coaching.

Gabriel’s performance against the Jets was 17-of-32-267 yards and two touchdowns. However, he was under pressure for most of the game, being sacked 6 times. Shedeur Sanders, the Browns’ backup quarterback, has not yet played. The Browns are now 2-7 after Sunday’s defeat.

Joe Flacco started the season for Cleveland before being traded to the Bengals. Gabriel then took over. Gabriel has started 5 games, and he has 7 touchdowns with only 2 interceptions. Gabriel’s lack of accuracy (58.6%) continued to be an issue against the Jets.

Gabriel is happy to have a second chance to play against the Ravens.

At his press conference after the game, Gabriel stated that “when things don’t go well, there will always be changes.” “That’s a part of it. It’s insane to keep doing the exact same thing without changing. I’m the one who is responsible for certain instances where we failed to execute. “We need to be consistent to drive more efficiently.”
