Joselyn Johnson planned to get a sneak peek at the Ravens locker room when the team held its annual Purple Night for female fans.
Johnson put a small jar containing her holy water, which is a mix of virgin olive oils, extra scent and blessings, in her purse. She sprinkled it in the Ravens’ locker room.
Johnson has been attending “A Purple Evening at M&T Bank Stadium” for about eight or nine consecutive years. Jada Paschall has been going to the event for three years.
Johnson had never brought holy water before but, with the Ravens struggling to recover from a 1-5 starting, she thought that she would do her part.
Johnson said, “This season needed a few doses of holy waters – just a little more Jesus.”
Johnson sprinkled holy water in the locker rooms of all the players. However, he focused more on the lockers for the defensive players because of their team’s poor start.
She said, “They needed the Spirit of the Lord around them.”
